My 6 year old daughter received this as a gift and I have to say that the thing is just mesmerizing. It has the cutest little singing voice and it's mouth opens when it sings to reveal little teeth and a tongue. It's hysterical to watch it's mouth open and close. You squeeze it's belly to make it talk and to make it sing you first press it's hand and it says "song!" and press it's belly again for it to sing skip to my loo. She sleeps with it every night although sometimes we here "HELLO" in the middle of the night when she lays on it followed by "see you later!" I don't know who likes it more...me or her. LOL

There is an insert with six projects carefully outlined, starting with two easy ones.

I've tried other Origami sets with my grandchildren and failed miserably, so I was pleased to have some success with this one. I can always count on Melissa and Doug products. The sheets aren't too large for little hands to create some easy projects too, so we all had fun. After trying the projects on the included leaflet, we moved on to another book that had great instruction, but no paper. I'm glad I purchased both products together. Teaching Your Kids Money Management - Start As Early As Possible

This is the first article in a collection of articles that help you travel with your management to teach your children about money. It features an expanded view, if you will, would be to start this process. The summaries of this function following articles are intended to coaching for what's next. As soon as possible: a good age to start this process is if youNote your child begins to understand how things work in the shop. Begin training before you begin to work, how much they need. Then point out that the "Loopi Loops" and generic "Crunch" trade mark are both about the same price. Let your child decide which of the two they wouldRather, they have to ask why. If they choose one over the other, simply because they liked it better, that's reason enough.

You are looking for two things here. First want to begin to understand why they have to choose one over the other. With all other factors, which are essentially the same, was the personal preference tie-break. Personal preference plays almost always be in our decision-making. In the knowledge that helps us make smarter decisions.

Second, they wantbegin to understand why they did not choose the more expensive "Crunch Delight". In this case, they received a better offer. You must be able to say "No": If you do not know how to say "No" How can you expect your child to make decisions too heavy?

Savings, save itDisaster: Kids need to save money for either a "big ticket" item, or unexpected events with the purchase. By learning these two specific purposes to save your child will be well on its way to success.

Giving It Away grow Help Them: Money is a tool, like a hammer or a screwdriver. As with most tools, they can be used to help us or harm us. Once your child learns how helpful they can to others with properly what someone else in need, theywill most likely get a much greater sense of self and the world around them.

It's OK to Talk About Money: It is not necessary to discuss matters with all details of your money, but in general terms, discusses some of the things that the family work will help them to feel themselves a part.

Tell them about your Choices: Again, one must not necessarily have to get into details, but together with your children some of your successes and failures in yourMoney decisions. Help them to learn from you some possible pitfalls they may encounter.

Teach them about interest rates added: credit card companies and banks understand the value of compound interest. They may be on the opposite end of this valuable lesson through the plastic in your wallet. Help your children learn how to avoid this danger.

Do not Give Up and Do not Give In: Giving in to the begging, pleading and cajoling only teaches yourChildren as they get what they want from you, and perhaps how to manipulate others for their own purposes. More is taught than caught, is this really the message you want to catch them?

What can I say about Carcassonne that hasn't been said before by other reviewers? I guess what I can say is, beware of the farmer! Really, one of the most obscure elements about Carcassonne is those darn farmers. At first most people who play the game totally disregard the farmer placement because of its vagueness in the in-game play. Since players don't get direct points for placing the farmer when playing, they totally forget that option. Plus the way it's scored is a different matter all entirely.

I was guilty of this fact. Most of my play was dedicated to the capture of cities, cloisters and roads. However, my girlfriend totally showed me the way of the farmer. In a matter of a few games, my girlfriend began to develop a strategy totally devoted to farmers. In a sense, the farmers make the game 10 times better. I believe this is where the deep thinking comes into play. Against an opponent that truly knows how to play with farmers, your thinking has to come along as well. To understand what I'm saying, the best way to describe it is comparing it to chess. Now I know that analogy has been used a million times before, but when it comes to farmer placement it really does become a game of chess, or cat-and-mouse. All of a sudden, when you place a farmer, you have to start thinking not in the now, but in the few moves down the game, and then a few moves beyond that.

Once I was privy to that element of gameplay, I was hooked! Making roads and cities is still important, but to fully enjoy this game you have to understand the farming system. Its intricacies will increase your enjoyment of Carcassonne. You'll now wonder how to connect different sections of the tile board you control to make bigger farm lands, as well as outnumber an opponent that is trying to do the same thing. The fact that you have a limited supply of meeples also makes the game interesting. How many do you dedicate now as opposed to later in the game when farming lands might not be as fertile? Do you try and cut off your opponents farm lands or add to your own?

My girlfriend is truly smart. Without her beating me a murderous amount of times just by outnumbering my farmers and connecting lands together to do so, I would never have seen the light! She still whips my butt at the game (and she is merciless, too. She beat me by 200 points the other night). Once you get the gist of that farming system, Carcassonne becomes much more than a tile-laying game. It becomes a true strategy and area control game. This, I think, is a wonderful experience for those looking into getting into Eurogames.

A few more things and I'm done.

The game itself is well built with 72 tiles to create a sprawling countryside. You have 5 different sets of colored meeples for five players, and a scoring track. The pieces are made of sturdy cardboard and are of good artistic quality. I don't know if this version that Amazon is selling comes with the 12 tile river expansion, but if it does then it's a great little bonus. It isn't for everyone, but if you like the mechanic and how it starts of the game, then you can really enjoy the experience for a little longer. The game also has the ability to be expanded with more expansion sets to spice up the strategies once you have reached your plateau with the basic game.

Overall, I think this is a good gateway game to introduce yourself to the Eurogame genre. There are other games out there that have a few heavier mechanic elements, or just a little more complicated. But I think Carcassonne has a good balance between being too complicated and being simple. It's easy to get into, and aside from the farming feature, Carcassonne is easy to keep score and play. A lot of people from different age groups would love the game play and it really does give you a mental exercise once you get into the farming mechanics.

You can't go wrong with this game, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for those looking for a new challenge and something different than Monopoly.

My two year old son loves this product. It's a little big for him to use as a desk right now so he uses the easel. Overall I'm also very happy with the product but have two complaints.

Although the instructions are very easy to read I was bothered by the fact that the instructions left out where the long and short screws go. I'm not saying it wasn't a breeze to put together but I had to remove the four long screws from the top of the desk when I realised they should have been used for the legs.

I also think the clip that holds the paper onto the whiteboard could be a little stronger. I don't know if it's just the one I have and it won't be a problem when my son is older. But right now he's a very energetic artist and he tends to pull the paper out of the clip when he's drawing.

Other than that my son absolutely loves it and I think it will be great for him for a very long time.

We bought three of the Sassy Suction toys for our 3-month old. Out of all three, she likes the one with noise (with a spider on it), then the illumination one, then the plain one. But, she does really like them all, but when we put all 3 in front of her on her little bumbo table, she plays with them in that order, usually the one with noise most, but then when we start hitting the other ones for her, she'll move onto them. The toys also can come apart from the suction cup, which can be used with those colorful hooks to be hooked up on a jungle gym or activity jumper to dangle. These don't seem like she'll tire from them easily, so I envision bringing them to restaurants to play with, or anywhere else they can be suctioned to.
